Hello and welcome back! We've made it to Chapter IX, and I couldn't be more excited about today's topic: songs. For me, a song is more than just a musical composition—it's a story, a feeling, a memory you can replay. It's the lyrics that hit you exactly when you need them or the melody that instantly takes you back to a specific moment. In this chapter, we're diving deep into what makes a song so powerful and why they hold such a special place in our lives.

Skyscraper
By Demi Lovato
[Verse]
Skies are crying
I am watching
Catching teardrops in my hands
Only silence as it’s ending, like we never had a chance
Do you have to make me feel like there is nothing left of me?
[Chorus]
You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like i’m made of glass
Like i’m made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!
[Verse 2]
As the smoke clears
I awaken, and untangle you from me
Would it make you, feel better to watch me while I bleed?
All my windows still are broken
But I’m standing on my feet
[Chorus]
You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I’m made of glass
Like I’m made of paper
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!
[Bridge]
Go run, run, run
I’m gonna stay right here
Watch you disappear, yeah
Go run, run, run
Yeah it’s a long way down
But I am closer to the clouds up here
You can take everything I have
You can break everything I am
Like I’m made of glass
Like I’m made of paper, Oh
Go on and try to tear me down
I will be rising from the ground
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!
Like a skyscraper!

HEAL THE WORLD
[Intro:]
Think about the generations and say that we want to make it a better place for our
children, and our children's children, so that they know it's a better world for them
And think, if they can make it a better place...
Verse 1
There's a place in your heart
And I know that it is love
And this place could be much
Brighter than tomorrow
And if you really try
You'll find there's no need to cry
In this place you'll feel
There's no hurt or sorrow
Pre – Chorus
There are ways to get there
If you care enough for the living
Make a little space
Make a better place
Chorus
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make it a better place
For you and for me
Verse 2
If you want to know why
There's a love that cannot lie
Love is strong,
it only cares for joyful giving
If we try, we shall see
In this bliss we cannot feel
Fear or dread,
we stop existing and start living
[Pre -Chorus 2]
Then it feels that always
Love's enough for us growing
So make a better world
To make a better world
Chorus
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make it a better place
for you and for me
[Bridge]
And the dream we were conceived in
will reveal a joyful face
And the world we once believed
in will shine again in grace
Then why do we keep strangling life?
Would this Earth crucify its soul?
Though it's plain to see
This world is heavenly
Be God's glow
[Verse 3]
We could fly so high
Let our spirits never die
In my heart, I feel you are all my brothers
Create a world with no fear
Together, we'll cry happy tears
See the nations Turn their swords into ploughshares
[Pre-Chorus 3]
We could really get there
If you cared enough for the living
Make a little space
To make a better place
[Chorus]
Heal the world
Make it a better place
For you and for me
And the entire human race
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place For you and for me
[Post-Chorus]
There are people dying
If you care enough for the living
Make a better place
For you and for me

2. The composer describes the world as being full of pain, suffering, and neglect. Some supporting phrases from the lyrics:
“There are people dying”
“If you care enough for the living”
“Make a better place for you and for me”
These show that the world today lacks compassion and needs change.
3. The singer dreams of a peaceful, loving, and safe world.

“A world in which we live in will shine again in grace”
“Heal the world, make it a better place”

4. The dream can be realized through love, care, and unity.
The lines that tell so are:

5. Love is the main solution offered in the song.
As the lyrics say:
“Love is strong, it only cares for joyful giving”
Love can overcome hate and bring peace.

Write a little bit about the meaning of the song and why you chose the song (what the meaning of the song for you)
Today, I want to talk about a song that has been on repeat for me recently: "About You" by The 1975. This track, from their latest album "Being Funny in a Foreign Language," has really resonated with me, and I'm excited to share why.
Here are the full lyrics to "About You" by The 1975:
[Verse 1: Matty Healy]
I know a place
It's somewhere I go when I need to remember your face
We get married in our heads
Something to do while we try to recall how we met
[Chorus: Matty Healy]
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
[Verse 2: Matty Healy]
You and I (Don't let go)
We're alive (Don't let go)
With nothing to do, I could lay and just look in your eyes
Wait (Don't let go) and pretend (Don't let go)
Hold on and hope that we'll find our way back in the end
[Chorus: Matty Healy]
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten?
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
[Bridge: Carly Holt & Matty Healy]
There was something 'bout you that now I can't remember
It's the same damn thing that made my heart surrender
And I'll miss you on a train, I'll miss you in the morning
I never know what to think about, I think about you
[Outro: Matty Healy]
About you
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
About you
About you
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
About you
Do you think I have forgotten about you?
About you
First, let's dive into the lyrics. One of the most striking things about "About You" is its raw honesty and vulnerability. It feels like a conversation, a stream of consciousness where the singer is grappling with lingering feelings for someone from their past. The lyrics beautifully capture that sense of nostalgia, regret, and the difficulty of truly moving on. Lines like "I know a place, it's somewhere I go when I need to remember your face" and "Do you think I've forgotten about you?" are incredibly poignant, highlighting how easily memories and emotions can resurface, even when you've tried to bury them. The song perfectly encapsulates that feeling of a ghost from the past still subtly influencing your present.
Here's the official video clip for the song:
For me, living here in Jakarta, thousands of miles away from many past experiences and people, this song hits particularly close to home. It speaks to the universal experience of carrying fragments of past relationships and friendships with you, no matter where you go or how much time passes. It’s a reminder that some connections leave an indelible mark, and sometimes, those feelings of "what if" or "if only" never completely fade. It's not necessarily a sad feeling, but more a reflective one – acknowledging the impact others have had on your life and how they continue to shape who you are, even in their absence.
"About You" is a beautiful, melancholic exploration of memory and enduring affection. The way it builds, with the male and female vocals intertwining, creates such a powerful and emotional atmosphere. It's a song that invites introspection and connection, and that's why I've chosen to share it with you all today. It reminds me that even though I'm in Jakarta, building a new life, the echoes of my past are still a part of me, and that's perfectly okay.

Students Should Wear School Uniforms
Thesis:
Many people believe that students should wear uniforms in school. I strongly agree with this idea because it promotes equality, discipline, and school identity.
Arguments:
Firstly, wearing a uniform promotes equality. When students wear the same clothes, there is less chance of bullying or discrimination based on fashion or economic status. Everyone is treated the same.
Secondly, school uniforms create a sense of discipline. When students dress appropriately, they are more likely to behave respectfully and focus on their studies.
Lastly, uniforms help build school identity and pride. They show unity and belonging, and students are more likely to feel proud of their school.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, school uniforms are important for equality, discipline, and school pride. Therefore, all schools should require students to wear uniforms.

The Impact of Social Media on Society
Social media has transformed how people communicate, access information, and shape their identities. While it offers many benefits, its influence on society has both positive and negative aspects, particularly in communication, mental health, and the spread of information.
Social media connects people globally, allowing for instant communication and cultural exchange. It fosters relationships, supports networking, and promotes collaboration, making it valuable in personal and professional contexts.
However, social media has been linked to mental health issues, including anxiety and depression. The pressure to maintain idealized lives and constant exposure to curated content can lower self-esteem. Cyberbullying and harassment also contribute to emotional strain, especially among younger users.
Social media has reshaped society, offering valuable tools for communication but posing challenges like mental health risks and the spread of misinformation. Addressing these issues is crucial for fostering a healthier online environment.

Isaac Newton: A Biography
Sir Isaac Newton, born in 1643, was an English polymath who is widely regarded as one of the most influential scientists of all time. His work laid the foundations for classical mechanics, and his contributions were pivotal to the Scientific Revolution and the Enlightenment. Born prematurely in Woolsthorpe, Lincolnshire, a few months after his father's death, Newton's early life was marked by solitude and intellectual curiosity rather than a conventional path. He was sent to Trinity College, Cambridge, in 1661, where he initially pursued a law degree, but soon became engrossed in the works of modern thinkers and the emerging scientific fields of mathematics and astronomy.
Newton's most fruitful period, which he later called his "annus mirabilis" or "year of wonders," occurred between 1665 and 1666, when the Great Plague forced Cambridge University to close. During this time of self-imposed quarantine at his family home, he began to develop his groundbreaking theories. He conceived the fundamental principles of calculus (which he called "fluxions"), conducted pivotal experiments with optics that demonstrated the composition of white light, and, famously, formulated his early thoughts on universal gravitation, inspired by the fall of an apple. These two years of intense, solitary study laid the groundwork for his most significant discoveries.
His scientific career formally began upon his return to Cambridge, where he became the Lucasian Professor of Mathematics. Newton's masterpiece, Philosophiæ Naturalis Principia Mathematica (Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy), published in 1687, is a monumental work that described his three laws of motion and the law of universal gravitation. This book provided a comprehensive explanation of how objects move and interact, unifying celestial and terrestrial mechanics under a single set of laws. He also made significant contributions to the field of optics, building the first reflecting telescope and demonstrating that a prism could separate white light into a spectrum of colors.
In his later life, Newton moved to London and took on prominent roles, serving as Warden and later Master of the Royal Mint. He was elected President of the Royal Society in 1703 and was knighted by Queen Anne in 1705. Despite these public duties, he continued his work in theology and alchemy, though much of this research was not published until after his death. Isaac Newton passed away in 1727 and was buried in Westminster Abbey, leaving behind a legacy that fundamentally changed humanity's understanding of the physical world.

The Colossus of Rhodes
Perched at the entrance of the harbor on the Greek island of Rhodes, the Colossus was a gigantic statue of the sun god Helios. It was constructed to celebrate the island's hard-won victory over a year-long siege. The people of Rhodes, using the melted-down bronze from the siege engines left behind by their defeated enemy, created a monument to their freedom and resilience.
The statue was a triumph of Hellenistic engineering and art, standing at an immense 108 feet tall, making it the tallest statue of the ancient world. With an iron framework at its core and an outer skin of gleaming bronze plates, the Colossus would have presented a breathtaking sight.
Its pose is debated by historians, but it likely stood on a marble pedestal, perhaps with one hand raised to shield its eyes from the sun, or holding a torch aloft, welcoming or warning all who approached the bustling harbor.
The Colossus, however, had a tragically short life. Just 56 years after its completion, a massive earthquake shattered the statue, causing it to snap at the knees and crash to the ground. For centuries, its enormous, broken pieces lay in ruin, a testament to its former glory and a marvel to travelers who came to see its colossal fragments. Its very name, "Colossus," became the term for any statue of immense size, a lasting legacy of a wonder that, though gone, continues to capture the human imagination.

The Bavarian Alps in southern Germany offer a magical blend of natural grandeur and fairytale charm. The region is defined by its majestic, snow-capped peaks and vast, green forests, providing a stunning backdrop for outdoor activities like hiking and skiing.
At the heart of this landscape lies Lake Königssee, known as Germany's cleanest lake. Surrounded by steep mountain walls, its clear, emerald waters are a serene escape.
Visitors glide across the water in silent, electric boats, marveling at the famous echo that bounces off the cliffs.
Beyond the natural beauty, the area is home to the iconic Neuschwanstein Castle. Perched on a rugged hill, this 19th-century palace looks like it was plucked from a storybook.
